= GESTATIONAL SURROGACY PROGRAM AGENDA =

 

  1. Agency Contract signing; bank transfer of the first instalment – 5 working days from the signing date = actual start date of the surrogacy program
  2. Surrogate Mother (and Egg Donor) candidates selection process, medical testing of the selected candidates – 60-90 days from the actual start date
  3. Medical preparation of the selected candidates – 60-90 days after completing step 2.
  4. Hormonal stimulation of the selected ED / the genetic mother in a new cycle – 10-14 days, with regular ultrasound checks of the follicles growth; egg retrieval, IVF / ICSI at the fertility clinic – 1 day, cultivation of embryos – 5 days, cryopreservation – 1 day
  5. Contract signing with the selected SM – 7-14 days for postal exchange using DHL Express service
  6. Preparation of the selected SM in a new cycle – 18-21 days; embryo transfer (ET) – 1 day
  7. Pregnancy confirmation process: 1. hCG blood test – 13 days after the ET date; AND 2. ultrasound screening – 10 days after the hCG test date = ultrasound confirmation date
  8. Results: a) Pregnancy confirmed -> ET successful: payment of the monthly allowance – 5 working days from the ultrasound confirmation date; OR b) Pregnancy not achieved -> ET failed: payment of the failed attempt compensation, rest period for the SM – 10-90 days, then repeat steps 4. & 6.
  9. Pregnancy development and follow-up – 36-40 weeks: weekly reports & SM’s blog updates, dashboard updates, emails, IMs; daily coordination & support from the personal guide, occasional psychologist conversations, regular medical examinations, testing / screening, min. seven ultrasound scans, min. two prenatal genetic assessments, consultations with gynecologist, obstetrician, general practitioner, dentist, optometrist, otolaryngologist, medication adjustment, fetus sex determination, due date calculation, visiting the maternity clinic, delivery etc.
  10. First monthly payment to the SM – 5 working days from the ultrasound confirmation date, then repeated monthly during the pregnancy
  11. Relocation of the pregnant SM to St. Petersburg / Kaliningrad (+ one small child of her own, contractually agreed upon), if needed – 30-60 days from the ultrasound confirmation date, registration at the rental apartment address – 7 days from the relocation date
  12. Pregnancy notification at the private clinic – 3-5 days from the relocation date
  13. Prenatal abnormalities screening: 1. PRISCA – 12-14 weeks of pregnancy; AND 2. PRISCA – 20-24 weeks of pregnancy; AND 3. PRISCA – 32-34 weeks of pregnancy
  14. Payment of the maternity clothes allowance – 90 days from the ultrasound confirmation date
  15. Fetus sex determination – 15-20 weeks of pregnancy
  16. Due date calculation – 20-25 weeks of pregnancy
  17. Preparation for the maternity clinic – 32-34 weeks of pregnancy
  18. Delivery at the maternity clinic: singleton – 36-40 weeks, twins – 34-36 weeks. Procedure: a) couples / single mother -> the SM will be separated from the newborn baby (babies) immediately, the IP can pay for a postpartum family room at the maternity clinic to spend time with him / her / them; OR b) single father / gay couples -> the SM will take care for the newborn baby (babies) at the postpartum family room, the father can visit them during set visiting hours. Release dates: I) natural delivery – 2-5 days from the delivery date; OR II) C-section – 5-7 days, depending on the baby’s (babies’) weight and health status
  19. Legalization process: a) couples / single mother -> 1) the SM shall sign a consent to handover the baby (babies) to the IPs – 2-5 hours (St. Petersburg – at a notary office; Kaliningrad – at the maternity clinic); 2) the IPs will apply for the birth certificate(s) at the Russian civil registry office – 2-3 hours (the name of the SM will not be listed in the birth register / certificate; only the names of the IPs as legal mother / father; a court process in Russia will be held only if requested); 3) the Agency will secure Apostille stamp(s) on the reverse side of the issued birth certificate(s) – 1-5 days; 4) the Agency will provide notarized translation(s) of the apostilled birth certificate(s) – 1-2 days; 5) the IP will apply for the baby’s (babies’) national passport at the Consulate – 1-5 days; 6) the Agency will assist the IPs to receive valid Russian exit visa(s) for the baby (babies) that shall be placed into the issued national passport(s) – 1-3 days; 7) the IPs may leave home with the baby (babies) within the exit visa(s) validity period; OR b) single father / gay couples -> 1) the Agency will cover the state duty for the establishment of paternity – 1-2 hours; 2) the SM and the father will visit a Russian civil registry office in order to register the birth of the baby (babies) and to establish paternity of the father – 2-5 hours (the name of the SM will be listed in the birth register / certificate(s) and the establishment of paternity certificate(s) as legal mother); 3) the Agency will secure Apostille stamp(s) on the reverse side of the issued birth certificate(s) and establishment of paternity certificate(s) – 1-5 days; 4) the Agency will provide notarized translation(s) of the apostilled birth certificate(s) – 1-2 days; 5) the SM will visit a notary office on the same date as in step 2) in order to provide I. consent for the baby (babies) to travel with the father to any foreign country, AND II. consent to determine the residence address of the baby (babies) abroad with the father; 6) the Agency will secure Apostille stamp(s) on the reverse side of the corresponding SM’s consents and the notarized translation thereof – 3-6 days; 7) the IP will apply for the baby’s (babies’) national passport at the Consulate – 1-5 days; 8) the Agency will assist the IPs to receive valid Russian exit visa(s) for the baby (babies) that shall be placed into the issued national passport(s) – 1-3 days; 9) the IPs may leave home with the baby (babies) within the exit visa(s) validity period
  20. Payment of the final compensation to the SM – 5 working days from the date of IPs departure with the baby (babies)
